    Overview
Students review the basic concepts of fuel efficiency and alternative fuels. They utilize video resources to learn about different types of alternative fuels.
    Essential Questions
    1. What physical factors affect fuel efficiency?
    2. How is efficiency defined?
    Outline
Figure out..How Can a Gallon of Gasoline Produce 20 Pounds of Carbon Dioxide?
Run a quick demonstration to illustrate what is meant by vehicle efficiency (Red vs. Blue truck).
In which situation is the vehicle more efficient.
Access the Department of Energy’s Find a Car website at:
    http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm
Compare different sizes, makes, models, and years of vehicles
What patterns do students see in the differences and similarities of different sizes, makes, and models?
    Research Alternative Fuels
    Students will compare different fuels
    Biodiesel
    Electric
    Ethanol
    Propane
    Natural Gas
    Hydrogen
Students will do an analysis of which fuel they feel is best based on their research and write this in their notes.
Students will be able to answer the essential questions as stated above.
